Children and Youth Activities

Youth Groups (High & Middle)

The church hosts two programs for its High School and Middle School members.

Senior Youth Group

What is missing at St. Andrews? YOU are! All High School students are encouraged to become a part of our Senior High Youth Group. This group is currently "under construction" - so now is a perfect time to get involved.

KFJ (a.k.a. Kids For Jesus)

Middle School students are encouraged to participate in our KFJ group. KFJ meet twice a month at 4:00 PM on the first and third Sunday. They plan service projects and fun activities.

The youth also meet for Sunday School at 10:00 AM.

FISH Sticks

F.I.S.H. Sticks (Faithfully I'll Serve Him) is a group for all youth 6th grade and up. This group meets once a week at 7:00 PM on Wednesdays to interpret contemporary Christian songs with sign-language, dowel rods (sticks), and other movement.

Activities for Elementary School Children

St. Andrews supports a strong program for its Elementary School children.

JAM (a.k.a. Jesus and Me)

Children in grades 2-5 are invited to be a part of this group. JAM meets once a month at 4:00 PM on the first Sunday.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is usually held during the last week of June. It includes dinner and activities for everyone, especially the kids. Each night the children sing songs, make crafts and listen to stories relating to the Biblical theme of the Vacation Bible School. There is also an adult class for those who wish to attend.

Christmas Program

Our children prepare a Nativity program each Christmas season as part of the Joy Gift Celebration. All of the children sing in the Children's choir and participate in the manger scene.

Special Parties

The Church School Committee plans several parties for our children each year. At Easter they enjoy an Easter egg hunt. At Halloween they have a party after the last Fellowship Night dinner. At Christmas, they have a Saturday morning party beginning with games, including a meal and ending with a visit from Santa Claus.

Children's Sunday School

St. Andrews hosts Sunday School classes for children from nursery age through 5th grade. Classes are held from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Classes are conducted by parents and other church members. Click here to view some of their art work.
