Adult Leader Training
Adult leaders are considered "trained" when they have completed the courses shown below. This entitles them to wear the "TRAINED" patch on their left sleeve and helps the pack earn the National Quality Unit award.
Training To Be "Trained"
- Fast Start
- 90 minute video course available at District Roundtables on 2nd Thursday of each month.
- Youth Protection Training
- 90 minute video course available at District Roundtables on 2nd Thursday of each month.
- New Leader Essentials
- Basic Training for Cub Scout leaders. This course is offered at various times through out the year (see calendar below). Talk to the Cubmaster for registration information.
- Position Specific Training
- Normally completed on the same day as New Leader Essentials. You must complete the course specific to the position you are currently filling. Refer to the calendar below and talk to the Cubmaster for registration details.
Optional But Important
- B.A.L.O.O.
- Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation gives Cub Scout adult leader the tools necessary to provide Cub Scouts with exciting and interesting outdoor activities that meet the purposes of Cub Scouting and the aims of the Boy Scouts of America. At least one B.A.L.O.O. trained must be present at any pack outdoor activity. Refer to the calendar below and talk to the Cubmaster for registration details.
